1. General information
To provide the students with the theoretical, conceptual and applicative framework referred to occupational health and the legal aspects of occupational risk prevention, given the interdisciplinary nature of this training.
This knowledge enables students to be able to provide legal advice to the employer in relation to to the PRL.
These approaches and goals are aligned with the following sustainable development goals (SDGs) of the United Nations 2030 agenda:

2. Learning results
The student passing this subject will achieve the following results:
- Knows and is able to value the importance of health, prevention and the consequences of the loss of workers' health.
- Knows and is capable of knowing the occupational hazards that can influence health and the actions to reduce their consequences.
- Knows and is able to interpret and apply the fundamental aspects of occupational risk prevention regulations.
- Knows the characteristics and functions of the Organizations and Institutions related to the prevention of occupational risks, at an autonomous, national and international level.
- Knows the different obligations of the employer in relation to the prevention of occupational hazards in the company, and understands all the potential element of responsibilities in the field of prevention (administrative, labor, criminal, civil and social security).
- Knows the inequalities and discrimination suffered by women workers in the field of occupational health.

HEALTH FIELD
The topics covered are:
A) Basichealth fundamentals: Occupational epidemiology, public health and occupational health, health promotion, occupational health and gender.
B) Labor and Occupational Risks.
C) Damageto healthhealth: occupational accidents accidents and occupational diseases.
D) First aid first aid: first aid first aid, first aid material and premises.
LEGAL SCOPE
The units covered are:
A) The regulatory framework in occupational risk prevention of occupational hazards: identification and characterization of its regulatory
B) The poliand health policy at work and the administrative framework: bodies, functions and performance of the public Administration in the field of occupational risk prevention.
C) The employer's duty to protect workers: content, manifestationsc) The employer's duty to protect workers: content, manifestations, responsibilities and sanctions penalties.

Practical cases are carried out to be solved individually or in groups, and team work in order to apply the theoretical bases of the subject.

At the beginning of the course the student will be informed of the detailed programme of the subject which, in any case, is contained in the manual Marco jurídico de la Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo, by the teachers Vallejo Da Costa, R and Lafuente Pastor, V., and Ayerra Duesca, N. Manual that students must acquire to follow the topics, self-assessment exercises and practical cases.
T. 2.1. Self-assessment exerciseslearning and learning
In each of the units that make up the subject, a series of specific and short development questions have been elaborated, and they can also be test type questionsthe purpose of these questions is for the students to internalize the basic contents of the subject.
The exercises will be assessed in the theoretical classes in the presence of the teacher in order to determine the passing of the subject . The total weight of this test with respect to the set of assessable activities to pass the subject will be 30%. The assessment will take into account the concreteness of the answers and the knowledge of the subject matter.

T 2.2. Practical Cases
The practical cases are designed to provide students with a precise and real knowledge of the problems posed by the legal practice in occupational risk prevention. Specifically, various practical cases will be presented (the number of which will depend on the length of the term) which will have to be resolved using the method and drawing up opinions and which will focus on the following subjects: the responsibilities of the employer in the prevention of occupational risks, health surveillance, protection of women during pregnancy and breastfeeding, and psychosocial risks.
The caseswill be prepared by the students, who will work in groups formed by an average of four and will be solved in the practical classes in the presence of the teacher. Afterwards, they will be sent to the teachers for final correction.
5. Assessment system
HEALTH REPORT
It consists of two assessment, continuous and single.
- Theoretical exam (80%). 40 multiple choice questions, no subtraction, 28 questions well needed to get a 5.
- Practical exam (20%). Resolution of epidemiology exercises and presentation of an occupational accident assessment.
Note: to pass this part of health it is necessary to get a 5 in each part, likewise in the single evaluation the evaluation of the work accident will not be assessed.
LEGAL PART
The student's progress and the acquisition of competencies will be assessed according to the following criteria:
1. For the completion of case studies and other practical activities directed by the faculty, students may obtain up to 70% of the grade for the subject. The assessment of the case studies will be carried out as follows:
1. For active and individualized participation in the practical cases in the classes (up to 20% of the total grade)
grade).
2. For the creation in the answers using for this purpose the judicial decisions indicated in the case
practical (up to 40% of the grade).
3. For the use of appropriate scientific literature for the resolution of cases, manuals, articles, reports of proven scientific rigor (up to 10% of the grade)
2. For the attendance and active participation of the student in the theoretical classes and the completion of questionnaires on the following topics
self-evaluation and learning may obtain up to 30% of the grade for the subject.
Note. Students who do not pass the subject through this continuous assessment process, or who wish to raise their marks, will have to take a final exam which will include the completion of a practical case study with a specific weighting of up to 50% of the final mark, and the completion of a written exam, which may be an oral exam, with another specific weighting of up to 50% of the final mark.
In order to pass the subject, both health and legal parts must be passed
